SOLIS and FORIS are offered together in a comprehensive CD-ROM edition for economists and social scientists. The edition includes seven databases with over 1.7 million references to German-language and international scientific literature (articles in periodicals and in compilations, monographs and grey literature) as well as to contributions in the business press, and to research projects in the social sciences including economics.
The databases SOLIS and FORIS can be found on WISO III, which appears in three editions per year (January, May and September) and can be ordered by subscription, together with either WISO I (BLISS - Betriebswirtschaftliche Literatur (Business and management literature) + FITT - Index of the German Business Press) and/or WISO II (ECONIS - Literature information of the Central Library for Economics + HWWA - Economic database for science and practice + IFO - Databases of the ifo-Institute).
At most university locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland university members have free access to the WISO CD-ROMs usually at the university library or another large scientific library.
The subscription to the CD-ROM WISO III comprises three updates per year of the
complete databases SOLIS and FORIS including the menu-driven query software as well as a
related handbook for the CD.
The period of notice for the subscription is three months before the end of the year..
