Methods of access to the GESIS SocioGuide

The GESIS SocioGuide homepage offers access to two main regions:

• GESIS SocioGuide Germany and International (Sources in Germany, Austria, Switzerland other western European and non-European countries)
• GESIS SocioGuide Eastern Europe (Sources in Eastern Europe)

To be connected with appropriate the GESIS SocioGuide page, click on the desired combination of country (or area) and <Subject> (or < Institutions/Organizations/Groups>) as well as the <send query> button. For the GESIS SocioGuide Eastern Europe use country or field of Social Sciences.

At the top and bottom of each page there are icons for each section. By clicking on these icons the user opens the according pages. The icons at the bottom can be used in a direct exchange between Subjects and Institutions/Organizations/Groups of the respective region.

A further advantage of the GESIS SocioGuide homepage are the Special SocioGuides (found below the regional SocioGuides):

• Special SocioGuides (selected kinds of information for specific user groups)

The click on functions is used to connect with the desired SocioGuide pages. At the top and bottom of each page there are icons for each section. By clicking on these icons, the user opens the according pages.

Comments:

There are sensitive graphics, at the top and bottom of each page which can be used to contact the respective main pages of GESIS, IZ, ZA, ZUMA and the branch office.

Obviously, it is possible for the user to use the tools of the used browsers to move through the pages at any time, for example <arrow left> can be used to change to the previously used page. This possibility is not identical to the option <page back> in the book structure of the GESIS-product spectrum, which leads on selection to the previous topic-based page.
